New Rival of BlackBerry Messenger, WhatsApp from Nokia

nokia logo Tech Info - To easier communication of their user, Nokia Indonesia launched the Break Free, a program that can liberate the mobile phone users from conventional methods in the chat.

Through a program Break Free which combined unlimited Internet package from Nokia, users can enjoy unlimited data services, including chat, e-mail, browsing, and download.

Although this unlimited Internet program seems simple, but in fact the mission of Nokia not that simple. In it, the Finnish giant mobile phone vendor offers a serious rival to the BlackBerry Messenger: WhatsApp

WhatsApp is not an instant messaging application (IM) which made by Nokia. It is a mobile messenger application which can run on various platforms, including BlackBerry OS, IOS, Android, and Nokia phones based Symbian60.

Similar to the BlackBerry Messenger, WhatsApp using 3G access, or Wi-Fi that can send and receive messages, images, voice notes, video messages, and even the location of Ovi Maps, as easy as doing SMS.

Different with Yahoo Messenger or any number of IM applications lately, WhatsApp using customer number as the username, not an e-mail. So, if you have a cellular phone number, you can enjoy this application.

Apparently, the mission of Nokia to take the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) market share is not kidding. Compared with the BBM, WhatsApp that also can run on Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone certainly has a wider segment. Because, in the future this application will replace function of the SMS.
