Medias N-06C, a Waterproof Smartphone from NEC

After releasing the thinnest Android smartphone, Medias N-04C, NEC now back to plan to launch another device in the Medias family, that is N-06C

The latest smartphones made ​​by NEC is reportedly to have an over advantages than its predecessors because it has a water resistance.

With a design similar to its predecessor, this N-06C phone is thicker 0.2 mm and heavier around 10g than the thinnest handsets in the market at this time. Dimensions of NEC N-06C is 128 x 64 x 7.9 mm and weighs 115 grams (including batteries).


Another difference that clearly visible between of this both smartphones, that the N-04C using the physical buttons and N-06C using the touch screen.

N-04C was supported by Google's Android operating system 2.2 Froyo, whereas N-06C was supported by Google's Android operating system 2.3 Gingerbread. In addition, this phone has certified of IPX5/IPX7 which proven the smartphones is waterproof.

This mobile smartphone is also supported by a 1 GHz single-core processor and packed with the 1024 ROM, 512 RAM, and microSD card for memory expansion (including the memory card capacity up to 32GB and 2GB).

NEC N-06C is compatible with download speeds of FOMA 14 Mbps and equipped by touch-screen of a LCD large 4-inch, 262,144 colors and a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This phone has a 5-megapixel rear camera autofocus and LED flash. Capable of recording high quality video (720p) which same as its predecessor.

For connectivity, NEC N-06C provides standard features such as: Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth with A2DP and microUSB support.

Although NEC has not announced exactly the release date for N-06C, but this smartphone expected will available in this summer through NTT DoCoMo operator as its predecessor, N-04C. It seems consumers will be presented with three options a simple color scheme that are Black, White and Pink.
